Hello,
My name is Lauren McGeough. I am a junior at the University of Oklahoma, pursuing a Public Relations career in the sports industry. At OU, I am very involved in my sorority, which constantly pushes me and holds me accountable for academics, philanthropy, and campus involvement. This is also where I have been able to invest in quality relationships with phenomenal women who constantly encourage and inspire me to do my best. As I approach my third year at the University of Oklahoma, I have learned and firmly believe that with every experience, big or small, you can take something positive from it. You can discover a skill, meet someone new or make a connection that could possibly come with an opportunity you never thought you would come across. College is filled with moments like these, but it’s up to you to seize those moments and ultimately turn them into something good. Throughout my college journey, my family has supported me in unimaginable ways, which guides and motivates me to continue working towards a successful future. It is comforting to know that they believe in my potential and are certain that I am capable of a bright future, yet still hold me to a high standard. In the field of Public Relations, the element of design will be a useful skill to apply to social media, updating websites and creating newsletters for upcoming events.
