This week’s assignment was to create a letterhead, which was exciting for me because I got to use the tools and skills I learned last week when putting together the business card. It was exciting to finally feel like I had a grasp on InDesign. I felt more confident and at ease for upcoming assignments that I didn’t feel comfortable with in the beginning. All of the tools I used in last week’s lesson were a great transition to the letterhead and directly applied to this assignment. I found myself moving quicker and being able to move from item to item without hesitation. The only aspect of InDesign I have yet to fully understand is changing the color of the font. Although my first reaction to this assignment was a sense of panic because it was a completely new project and seemed like a bigger task to take on, I was pleasantly surprised with my capabilities. Once I completed the letterhead, I was excited to start on the next assignment and continue using the skills I have learned from the previous lessons. Another reaction I felt overcome by was being proud in my work and what I was able to put togetherĀ as well as make appealing. A majority of my reactions were a result of the assumption that I wouldn’t be able to figure out and understand InDesign or how to create the projects. Because I underestimated myself, I was surprised by how much I was able to learn and how well I was able to put together the assignments.
