This week, we were asked to complete the direct mailer drafts. Although I didn’t change the content of my projects, I chose to rearrange the layout and change the font color, size and the font itself. It was interesting to watch the overall image transform after thinking my draft looked complete last week. It was motivating because it allowed me to realize that I could take the design one step further yet not start over and polish the direct mailer, making it appear more professional. I noticed that making these small changes such as moving images, made the biggest difference. My reaction to this assignment was definitely a reflection of coming to the understanding that your work can always use improvement and is never fully finished. Above all, I felt more comfortable with the Photoshop tools after this week when I was able to rearrange many visual points of this project.
