I personally like when visuals are type and image driven at once. For example, while creating my Pinterest board I found and image where the “O” in “OKC” was actually a basketball. This method incorporated a visual image into text and made the ad much more rememberable. If I had just seen a normal promotional/hype ad, then I would not have remembered it, but the use of the basketball to replace the O made this stick with me.

Building a communication strategy

I think my type and images just need to promote the OKC Thunder. Professional basketball is so popular and the Thunder has been so successful that mostly everyone already knows about them. I want to take this a step forward and have them known as the BEST team not just one team in the league. Not only the best athletes and best performing players, the team needs to have a positive image to the public.

My connotations need to be positive, accepting and grateful. The best thing someone in the public eye can do is make the public believe they are genuinely grateful for the opportunities and suport they’ve gotten.
