This week, we were asked to continue working on our Direct Mailers. My first stakeholder helped me define my second stakeholder by allowing me to target the parents instead of the children. I feel like this was easier because I could get right to the point with the parents instead of trying to craft a message that I thought they would “get.”

As far as comparing my designs, I can’t really do that because I didn’t really have one from last week.

However. This is my design for this week.

Unit 3.2 Reflection

Overall, I feel like I’m taking a step in the right direction. I think for the final draft, I’m going to experiment with gradients and maybe a drop shadow. I also need to figure out what my call to action is going to be. One thing that I am struggling with is how I’m going to incorporate the recruiting services department without overdoing it.

To me, InDesign is forever easier than Photoshop. I guess the tools are kind of similar, but InDesign is more user friendly. I think that’s why I’ve been struggling so much with the assignments so much as of late. It’s like, as soon as I make some headway with Photoshop, sometime else comes up and I get frustrated trying to figure it out.

I am excited about what I was able to do, and I think that my final draft for both mailers will be worth the wait!
