Fourth design project is complete! I can finally breathe!!!

For our fourth design project, we were asked to pick a 500 Fortune Company to create a newsletter for. I decided to create a newsletter for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Once we picked our company, we were to gather at least four stories from their newsroom and have that be our content for our newsletter.

At first, I was a little intimidated knowing that I had to create a layout for two other pages.     This was probably the most time consuming project I have been assigned in this class. Even though I spent a lot of time working on this project, I actually really enjoyed it! The only time consuming part of the this design project was trying to format the stories into the newsletter and trying to make everything look proportional.

After completing this design project, I have never felt more accomplished. I actually created a newsletter from scratch! I definitely have a better sense of what a newsletter format is suppose to be, which will definitely come in handy later in my career. I also feel even more comfortable with InDesign than I have ever before!

Even though this was a very stressful week for me in PR pubs, I feel as though I have learned many new skills in InDesign as well as learned how to create a newsletter! It was a successful week!
