Above is the “work in progress” dummy layout for my newsletter! While it may not look the best, I am extremely extremely proud of myself for this thus far. I took a glance back at my first assignment, the Typesetting one, and wow is there improvement in my opinion. I can look back and see how far I have come, since I now am way more familiar with InDesign. That being said, as usual, there is always room for lots and lots of improvement.
With this assignment, I am doing Delta Airlines, a Fortune 500 company. I hope to incorporate their known colors throughout my newsletter, as well as use high quality images I have found on their website.
We were asked to create a dummy newsletter this week! At first, because of my experience with InDesign, there was a hint of fear…but because of my new found knowledge of the program, there was hope. Once I started on it, while it did take me a long while, I grasped the hang of it. It is just really exciting to see the progress from what, two months ago. I can’t wait to see what is in store with my progression in the next month. I will keep up the practice with this assignment throughout this next week and I am looking forward to finishing it up and getting to compare it to my Typesetting assignment back in September!
