Above are what I have been working on these past few weeks! While I haven’t made many changes yet to my first direct mailer, I plan to this next week. I am quite proud of how my second direct mailer, directed to a parent who is an alumni, with a daughter going to college.
My first stakeholder helped define my second because it is a family matter. My first stakeholder is an out of state girl who is between the ages of 17-19, with a family tie to OU. I thought this would be a good group to target because while out of state tuition is quite high, if a family member went to OU, it is likely that that could be an influencing decision.
Since I have been more focused on my second direct mailer, I have not made many changes to my first one quite yet. I plan to add a bit more text to it, perhaps something regarding scholarships. I will probably add this change so that in case the tuition is a bit high, they see that there are options.
I have noticed the side toolbar is quite similar for both Photoshop and InDesign. The whole layout is very similiar. Personally, a difference I find, is that Photoshop is easier to work with. It is a fairly simple application, while InDesign has taken me some time to get used to it.
