This week we were asked to finish up our newsletter design for a company which we started last week. I chose to design for the company First Solar, which manufactures PV solar cells. I’m really interested in this company so it was fun to design for. The only real challenge with First Solar is that they are a pretty technical company so the design had to be minimal and have a lot more text then graphics. I chose to focus on an internal audience i.e. the First Solar employees so all 4 of my stories related to information they would need to know.
This week we got to use InDesign again! Thank goodness. I had a lot of problems with this assignment but I think for the most part my newsletter turned out alright. I played around on InDesign for a lot longer then I care to admit. I am pretty happy with my design and I think the design suits my intended audience.
