I’m a huge fan of online classes. I know that most of my peers/friends don’t like them because they fear they won’t get all of the work done. I mention this because I have taken around 10 online classes at OU. The format of this class has by far been the easiest to understand/keep up with. The modules were easy to follow and were easy to keep track of to make sure all your work is done on time. I think journaling every week was a good way for us to communicate with professor Croom because we didn’t see him face to face weekly. Blogging was a way to give him an idea of where we were at in the class. I enjoyed writing for a public audience and I think it was good practice for the future. I’ve always wanted to start a blog and this class gave me a perfect way to ease into that process. I grew in my blog writing and design work this semester. I’m a huge believer that practice makes perfect. Writing multiple blog posts a week was a way to get a lot of experience that I might not have been able to motivate myself to get on my own. As the course went on, I got more comfortable with the design tools we were using. I felt like my beginning projects were absolutely awful and I didn’t even want to include them in my portfolio because I don’t want the public seeing them. I included them for the purpose of your grading but will delete them after this course. My projects from the direct mailer and on were much better and I’m glad that I made a lot of progress during the semester. I didn’t realize how much progress I made until I actually went back and checked. I feel like I learned a lot in this class that I can use in the future.

Our last project is the summary of learning. I chose to make a trailer on iMovie. I chose this because I used to love iMovie and because I didn’t want to use a tool we previously used in class. This trailer is a summary of my progression in this class. I chose to make it more dramatic and comedic. Mostly because I was very dramatic during this course because I felt like I wasn’t competent enough to complete the projects. Looking back I was being ridiculous and it’s funny to me, which is why there will be comedic references as well.
