This week we were asked to read through all of our blog posts that we have written over the semester. At first, I thought UGH, but as I began to read through my old posts I realized how quickly the semester flew by and how much had changed since I first enrolled in this course. A few reoccurring topics I mention quite often (maybe even whine about) are first, how much time these assignments have taken. Second, how often I wanted to give up. Third, how proud and happy I was with my completed final projects. Through my posts, I can see how I’ve grown through this course by the way I freaked out in my initial posts about working with In Design and Photoshop to praising these two applications.  I also whine a lot about how much time I had to dedicate to the projects assigned, but in my later posts I express how I was able to dedicate only a few hours towards these projects and was even able to get some sleep. Looking back at all of my finished work I feel very impressed with myself. It’s hard to believe I created them. It’s a great feeling knowing you’ve accomplished so much and genuinely gained valuable knowledge and skills from a course. I especially enjoyed being able to create a business card and different graphics for my friend Maxine Kraft, who owns Craft by Kraft a small jewelry business. Knowing I was able to use these skills to help her, makes everything about my time in this course even better. I definitely feel I have grown as a PR practitioner and I feel prepared and confident to take on multiple design tasks given to me through the course of my PR career.
