This week we were asked to design a dummy layout for a company newsletter on InDesign. I chose a solar cell manufacturing company called First Solar. I was pretty happy to go back to InDesign again instead of Photoshop. I thought this assignment was going to be more difficult than it actually was. I played around with my layout for a bit before I decided on a final design. I am not 100% satisfied with my layout though. It’s pretty bare-boned and kind of boring right now but I hope that next week I’ll get to play around with it some more and improve it. The really good thing about First Solar is that in the media section on their website they have a archive of free downloadable images to use. I know that my final newsletter will be better.
