I definitely grew as a public relations practitioner this semester. At the beginning of the semester, I was lost and confused. I had no idea what was going on and I didn’t know if I was going to be able to get through this class. While reading through my old blog posts I recalled all of the frustrations I had with the programs. Photoshop just didn’t click with me and the first draft of the direct mailers was the hardest assignment for me. Indesign was easier for me to figure out but I still ran into to some problems with it. After this assignment, I went to office hours to get more knowledge on photoshop. This was my turning point. Creating my final draft of the direct mailers was actually fun. I take my most pride in this assignment because I worked really hard to get a good grade and to make sure I completed it correctly. I grew this semester with my creativity. I didn’t use to be creative and I just liked everything clean and cut with minimal colors. After reading the textbook I learned that design is necessary and it’s good to take risks.
