I have to say, this was one of my favorite weeks! I really enjoyed getting to work more in depth with each of my direct mailers.
This week specifically, we were asked to continue to work on both of our direct mailers. I was excited about this because I had a few things I wanted to change. With my first direct mailer, as well as my second, I needed to add an address placement. I also wanted to add why the student should choose OU. I looked at the OU facts on their homepage and found an interesting fact that pertained to an out-of-state student. For someone who came from Texas, if I were to see the fact that more than half of the students are Texans, it would make me feel more comfortable coming to OU.
I was very pleased with my final products for both. In my opinion they are both visually appealing, as well as both have facts that can help persuade students and parents.
I think my reaction is the way it is because I have worked very hard on this assignment for many weeks. Finally coming to the end of the whole process, it is always exciting to see the end results. I always love getting to see hard work pay off, it is very worthwhile!
I definitely feel myself becoming more confident with Photoshop. I feel as if I can do pretty much anything on that program and that is very exciting!
At the end of this project, I don’t think there is anything that I would do over. I am pleased with how this whole project went. It was very smooth and painless, unlike my difficulty with InDesign at the beginning of the year. I can’t wait to see how the next few projects further my growth in these programs!
