Here is a link to my summary of learning project! I decided to write a short story about my time in PR Pubs! I used Storybird to create my story! I used some artwork for my story, that at first I wasn’t sure would fit but I think it actually turned out really well! This assignment was fun for me because I was able to add my personality to the assignment which was fun for me!

This class was a challenge. I learned how to be more patient. I learned how to manage my time (even though I thought I knew how to do that before this class). I learned how to use InDesign. I learned how to use Photoshop. I could probably go on forever.

The format of this course was great. I loved that for each unit all the assignments were due on one day. That made things so much easier for me, rather than having multiple days throughout the week where I needed to remember to turn things in, it was every week on Thursday! I loved that!

I loved journaling about my designs every week. It’s really awesome to be able to look back through my blog and see where I started with design to where I finished at the end of the semester. I think I came a long way and I am really proud some of the things that I created in the class!

I have never really written for a public audience before so that was a little scary. I think it was good though because it made me want to do my best knowing that other people could see what I was doing! I think that was a huge thing this class did that I needed. It helped me become a better writer and a better designer.

I just touched on the fact that I am a better designer and a better writer because of this class. I grew in so many ways over the course of the semester. I realized early on that this class was going to be a class that needed a lot of attention and that was very important. If I hadn’t put time in, I wouldn’t have been very successful in this course. I became a pro at managing my time. I work a part-time job as well as going to school full-time. I am currently in 18 hours this semester and that alone is stressful but having that and working a part-time job on my plate I had to sit down and really figure out how to manage my time to make sure I was getting everything done when it needed to be done! I also learned how to be patient. I realize now that things won’t happen overnight and there are times when you will have to start and then restart something over and over until it eventually comes together. It was hard accepting that I wasn’t always going to be successful in this class on the first try but once I realized that I was able to really grow. And, of course, I learned how to use design software. I grew in InDesign and Photoshop and now I am pretty confident in my knowledge of the software and my ability to create!

I will miss definitely miss this class!
