For this assignment, I finally felt like I was able to use InDesign and was familiar with all of the tools. We were asked to create from scratch our own personal business card. This would be a reflection of the area of PR we are pursuing, the brand/organization we chose as well as our personal style. Although my InDesign skills aren’t perfect and the card was rather bare, it still managed to look organized and had all the necessary information as well as the logo for my organization. Starting from scratch was a little difficult at first because I had nothing to go off of and was forced to use trial and error, clicking on different tools to see what they did. However, I feel like this is what caused me to familiarize myself with the program even more than before. I was pleasantly surprised with what I was able to put together. It was also extremely satisfying to see my name on a business card and witness what my future could be like. I think this reaction occurred because I am finally at a point in my life where I am extremely close to a real career and need to start preparing myself for it with learning how to use programs such as InDesign.
