1. What were you asked to do?
This unit I was asked to create a newsletter from scratch using InDesign. I chose Apple as the fortune 500 company to create a newsletter for.
2. How did you respond to what you were asked to do?
Initially I messed up my dummy layout and had to go back and fix it. But hey, what would this class be without some mistakes along the way? After the first week I figured out the direction I wanted to take my newsletter and how I was going to change my design to make it more original and more of what I wanted it to be.
3. How did react to what you actually did?
At first I was frustrated because I just wasn’t getting the assignment and InDesign was giving me a hard time. Eventually I figured it out and I am surprisingly really happy with my final design. It is simple and sleek and I think it looks much better than the dummy layout that I had started with.
4. Now go one level deeper: Why do you think your reaction was what it was?
I think that my reaction of different emotions comes from many things. I was stressed out at first and frustrated which I think made me appreciate my final design more. The struggle at the beginning helped me get to my design at the end.
