Wow! What an amazing semester!
I truly think I learned more about myself over these past few months. As always mentioned, I am a procrastinator but I truly owe it to this class because that has drastically changed. I learned the value of time management because with design projects, one really can’t wait until the last moment. I learned to dedicate time on the weekends to get head starts on projects, which ended up being incredible because I was never on a time crunch on Thursdays!
Here is my Summary of Learning! My Summary of Learning is basically a short “poemy” story about my process with PR Pubs. I will admit, the cheese factor is real, but I had a great time writing it. Reflecting on all my assignments and my emotions during this semester was great. I chose to do it with Storybird because I like to think of myself as a story teller. I have always liked writing and reading, so I thought doing a picture book was perfect. When I look back I learned so much about Public Relations and design. I was never really interested in the design aspect, but after this class I would love to get a job with designing social media or designing newsletters. My project represents me discovering myself, as well as what I am capable of doing because I was quite surprised a number of times! Especially at the end of assignments, seeing what I created was always incredible.
I really loved getting to journal every week! It was neat looking back and seeing my emotions from back in the day. I also really liked how everything was due Thursdays. It was my prime deadline day and I liked it always being the same day. Other classes have several different days, but I liked have a constant day to have it all due by! Lastly, I think my knowledge about audiences definitely grew. Almost every assignment was for a particular audience, therefore you had to really think about how to appeal to them. I had to learn about emotions and what different age groups like. This was a great learning experience to gain because that is exactly something I will need to know with my future job!
I am so excited to go forth with my newly found knowledge!
