Using the feedback from last week, I feel like I had a slightly better grasp on the second direct mailer assignment. I still don’t feel like I know fully how it should be looking, but I think that after the feedback from this direct mailer I should be able to come up with some good final drafts of the two. I decided to choose parents of potential transfer students as my stakeholder this time. I know that parents are very influential over students so I chose to basically encourage them to help their student apply and transfer to OU.
I feel like I am starting to better understand photoshop after this week and last week’s assignments. I still prefer indesign, but I was able to finish my work and make it look relatively how I wanted without as much trouble as last week. One thing that still confuses me about photoshop that indesign doesn’t have are the layers. With my direct mailer this week, there are some things I’m unsure about, like the font size/color/type and if I went too far with it, and also where the address should go and if I needed to include a return address. For next week I will figure all of these problems out and hopefully come up with a final result I am happy with. I’ve been focused on my second direct mailer this week so I haven’t made any changes to the first one, but there are many changes to come. I’m more happy with the second than with the first.
