This week was such an informative week! We were asked to watch numerous videos on Photoshop and InDesign. The videos were step by step which helped tremendously.

Right off the bat I felt extremely comfortable. Everything was right in front of me, the videos helped me understand exactly what needed to be done, and I had the goals in mind. Although, when I started working through the actual Typesetting assignment, I began to get nervous. While I understood what I had to do, when I moved objects one place it would end up elsewhere. I got a little frustrated, but then remembered the video we watched in Unit 1.2. It was about how at first, your work is not going to be your best. This is because we are all learning. I then thought to myself that this was the first time using this technology, and that I know in a few weeks or so there will be obvious improvement.

I think I began to get nervous with this assignment because it was not going the way I planned. I have to admit I almost expected it to be perfect right off the bat, when I know in reality that is NEVER the case. From this assignment I have learned SO much. I now understand that while it is alright to approach things with a confident go lucky attitude, it is also okay when it doesn’t work out how I plan. This can relate to anything in life. I am very excited for the upcoming journey with both of these products, and I am looking forward to the continuing process!
