This week we were asked to watch thorough videos on how to use Photoshop and Indesign. The videos were extremely helpful to me because I knew nothing about photoshop or InDesign. I had taken a class before where we used them, but honestly never knew what I was doing. We were also asked to find and markup elements of a newsletter or newspaper on a newspaper. This assignment was fairly easy for me because I had learned a majority of the terms in a different class, so I knew what to look for. The last thing we were asked to do was recreating the newsletter. This was by far the hardest part for me and the most time consuming. I think I responded fairly well to what I was asked to do. I appreciated how these assignments let us get in touch with our creative sides. Writing can be creative but visual creativity is so much more enjoyable to work on. I was very pleased with myself and my completion of the projects. I worked for an extensive amount of time on these assignments and tried to get every detail on my assignments right. I think I reacted well to these assignments because they were a change of pace for me. The structure of many of my classes is online quizzes, discussions and blog posts. It was nice to get to do something different for a change instead of the norm. I’m truly very excited to learn more about Photoshop and Indesign and can’t wait to see my progress throughout the semester.
