The Oklahoma City Thunder’s mission is to make the public believe The Thunder are the best basketball team in the country. They work everyday to make their team be and look the best. The public relations team highlights all the athletes do on and off the court.
The main competitors for the OKC Thunder are all other 29 teams in the National Basketball Association league. The organization literally competes with all of their competitors at some point in the season. The athlete’s and staff of the OKC Thunder need to look better in the public eye than any of their competitors. That is how they will succeed.
The core values of the OKC Thunder are teamwork, respect, cooperation and compliance. These are all important things to value when working with a team to achieve a goal. Everyone on the staff and on the team is working towards the same goal. Cooperation is a big key to this because being a team member means it’s not all about you. Everyone involved needs to have equal say and feel respected in the organization.
A dominant attitude of the Thunder is wanting to give back. The Thunder does their part as often as possible to show their fans and supports how much they appreciate them. The team loves to show that “The Thunder Cares,” by crashing local high school sporting events, or attending the Oklahoma State Fair.
