This week in PR Pubs, we were asked to continue to work on and complete our final design for our business card and letterhead. And guess what… I did it!! I definitely feel that completing this first design project has lifted a weight off my shoulders (for now). I somewhat know how to work InDesign! There is still a lot I need to learn, but I am pretty content with the work I produced.

I hope to continue to add and revise my design in the future. I made a nice, clean front design for my business card and really hope to add some unique design to it once I have developed my InDesign skills even more. That would be the one thing I would want to change if I were to start over again.

Like I said before, it was definitely a confidence booster to have completed my first InDesign project. I am definitely feeling more confident with what I am being asked to do on InDesign. It was funny to see the change in my confidence level when working on my business card vs. working on my letterhead. I was completely lost and felt hopeless when beginning my design for my business card. However; I felt so much more relaxed working on the letterhead. I was able to complete the letterhead design assignment so much faster because I actually knew what I was doing (somewhat)!

Future recommendations: DON’T GIVE UP! One may feel completely hopeless (just like I did), but just keep on practicing! I find re-watching the Lynda videos over and over again to be the best teaching tool for me. And if one has a question, don’t be afraid to ask!
