Earth Rebirth is a small environmental nonprofit right here in Norman. Andrew Sartain, the founder and president of Earth Rebirth founded this organization his senior year of college at OU. Earth Rebirth’s mission is fairly simple but also at the same time really complicated. The mission statement is as follows: to educate and empower individuals to bridge the gaps between economic and environmental problems. The organization works to accomplish this in a unique way by helping people take an individualized approach to everyday food, water and energy problems facing them. Earth Rebirth prides itself on ensuring that everyone who walks through their door feels like family and like they have a story to share. This pride is reflected in everything they do including community events and outreach initiatives. It’s easy to tell that the people who work at Earth Rebirth believe that everyone can and will make a difference.
Earth Rebirth has a pretty specialized market and so the competitors are probably few. However, I would think that other environmental nonprofits around the metro area could be competitors. One such nonprofit I found was Transition OKC. This organization focuses on building economically, socially and environmentally resilient communities in OKC.
