When I have been brainstorming my stakeholder, the question that came to mind was “who do I want to target?” I could easily target girls, ages 18-23 for sorority recruitment. I could also easily target students who have the scores, but just need that extra push to apply. Both places I have been in, sorority and applying, and both messages drew me into OU.
I believe for my stakeholder, I want to target:
Out of State Boys and Girls 17-19 years of age with ACT/SAT acceptable scores
With this group, it can be like how I was targeted and drawn in by the message OU sent me. I think this is an extremely important group to target, honestly a bit more than the rest. It all starts with the prospective students. If they get sent a flyer or an email encouraging them to apply, the beautiful campus on the background of the flyer, they most likely picture themselves here and apply. It is all about the persuasion. When I saw pictures of OU I was hooked. Especially the Bizzell Library, because it looked straight out of Harry Potter.
For my messages I want to direct towards them will revolve around, We See You Here, or something along those lines. Something that will get them to think, “Oh, I actually do see myself going here” or, “This looks like the place for me”.
I am excited for this project!
