For my stakeholder, I have decided to choose prospective transfer students. These are students that have no yet chosen OU, but are looking to transfer schools. They may have applied to OU already or have not yet, but qualify to. These students will be freshman, sophomores, or juniors in college. They will be students attending a community college for two years or simply students who want to transfer to a better or different school. These students will be between 18-21. As a transfer student myself, I know what I was looking for when deciding to transfer schools. I wanted two things: a better education and a fun school. There are two main reasons that I feel most students transfer to OU. Those reasons are to change from a small unknown college or community college to a large, well known university, and to change from a school that is boring where they are unhappy to a fun school where they can have the ideal college experience. Because of this, I think that some good messages to direct towards this stakeholder would be that OU is going to help them in their future career endeavors and be the best education they can receive and also that it is a fun school that they will be extremely happy at and will miss out on a great experience if they do not go. You need to show how OU differs from a smaller college and how good it will look on a resume once they graduate. These students are most likely not satisfied with their current college, so they need a reason to transfer to OU. They are close to graduation and want a school that will further their future. It should show them how easy it is to transfer, how they can pay for school, and how worthwhile it will be in the long run for life after they graduate.
