When I first read through all of our assignments and realized we were going to be using a different platform, I was not excited at all. It took me weeks to figure our Photoshop and Indesign ( I still am trying to understand them). As I completed each tutorial, I started to breath again. Canva became so simple for me because most of it is drag and place.
You could say Canva is too simple or “lazy” when compared to Photoshop and Indesign, but I felt like I could be more creative. I was not stressing about what tool to use or how I can place a picture or text. I am not going to lie when I say I love social media. I believe social media is so important in this day of age. These assignments allowed me to be creative with using social media for a call to action for companies.
I decided to branch away from the company I used for my past assignment and chose Starbucks. Starbucks is under a huge media spotlight because during this time they change their cups and release their holiday drinks. Now is the time they are using social media to inform the public on all of their changes.
Without a doubt, I am a Canva groupie. I thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with this platform. I think this assignment has also made me excited to keep on improving with the Adobe applications.
