Finally we have accomplished the final draft of a newsletter! While I am happy about not being in the computer lab for hours, I am very proud of myself for completing a full and decent newsletter. This past week I planned out my schedule so I would have enough time in the computer lab to give my full attention on this project.

First off, I changed the company that I was going to design for. Originally I submitted a logo for Coca-cola and I really wanted to do a newsletter for the outside audience. However, I just could not find stories that were appealing. So I researched different companies and decided to stick with Disney. Disney is constantly changing and revamping, I felt like it would be a lot more fun.

Disney is so big that there are so many angles you could use for a newsletter. Due to the holiday season around the corner and Disney adding new parks, I chose my audience to be specifically for people who go to Disney parks and stay updated on the parks’ news.

I found stories that were interesting right away, but then I had no idea on how to get started. I had some great help in the computer lab on Indesign and some information on the different tools. I played for hours on my front page and how I could make it appealing to the eye. It total, it has three stories on three pages. It is not much but I added drop quotes and pictures to make it more than just information. In the end I am really happy with what I designed and I look forward to the next assignment!
