Hey there everyone! My name is Colleen Reed and I am from Easton, Pennsylvania. My hometown is right on the border of New Jersey and it is about an hour away from both New York City and Philadelphia. I am a junior here at Oklahoma. I made my journey here because of the prestigious ballet department and I decided to pursue Public Relations as well. What really made me interested in Public Relations is getting to communicate through social media or another channel about a certain company or individual. I already enjoy using these different channels and giving important information to the people. I hate the feeling of giving up on something this is important to me, so that has always been my motivation to do my very best. My friends and family have also been a great support system to make sure I perform at my best ability. I use writing in everyday uses like direct communication and social media, but I am exited on using writing in a more professional way. I am very excited for Public Relations in the dance world and to work not only as a professional ballet dancer but also to work as a Public Relations practitioner for the same company.
