Hi there! I’m Vaughan Williams and I am from Dallas, Texas. I am a junior here at OU, and I am majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Spanish. My dream is to become an event planner after college.
Personally, I’m an optimistic person and I always look at the bright side. I believe if you have a little positivity in your life, it will go a long way.
I am a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority here at OU. I was chair of the hostess committee during our fall rush. I am a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, as well as a member of the OU PRSSA chapter.
Many things in life guide me. My close friends and family motivate me to want to be successful. That alone makes me strive at all I do to make each and every one of them proud. My faith also guides me daily, especially if there is a stressful day at school.
My friends and family motivate me daily. I also motivate myself to get all my work done and completed to my best ability. I want to get a job working event planning right out of college, so my work I do here is extremely important in that process.
Since I’m a PR major, design has a key role in that. For instance, social media. Since I want to work in event planning, image is a big component. Designs that go with different brands can spark interest in the community, so I know my work with design will continue over the next few years.
