Professional Portrait

I am Hannah Rodriguez, a student at the University of Oklahoma, majoring in PR with a minor in sociology. I am from Fort Worth, TX.

My entire family went to the University of Texas, but I did not want to follow their path. I wanted to be different and create my own legacy. I believe that one of a kind things are rare thing to come by in this day in age. Most people follow the crowd and follow the road most traveled but I do not. I want to create my own path and have my own beliefs. What I believe is what I believe and no one else has told me to think that. Needless to say, I am reasonably strong-willed and will do what I think is best for myself.

I am a student by day, nanny by evenings and foodie and friend all day long. I love the beach. Last summer, I took summer school at the University of Hawaii with one of my best friends. The library was great!

School is important to me. I plan on taking the LSAT in February to pursue my dreams of attending law school. I want to represent people in some of the toughest times of their life and help guide them to the light at the end of the tunnel.

I nanny two children during the weekdays- Natalie (7) and Davis (4). Although sometimes they make me question if I’m getting paid enough, they have taught me that kindness is always important and not to allow kids to eat in your car because there will be crumbs lingering for who knows how long.

I love unique foods. When I go on Facebook, I have to be careful to not start watching every Tasty video ever posted. Food has a special place in my heart. I love experimenting with new recipes in my free time.

I am guided by fear of failure. When I ran cross country in high school, my worst fear was being in last place. I am scared of losing more than I enjoy winning. I am motivated by the feeling of success, even though I may not be first, I just do not want to fail.

Design fits in all aspects of my life, although it may not be verbatim “designing.” I pick out what I wear daily or the recipes I make. I may not be creating them myself, I still have a choice of how I want to create myself for the day or the food I make. Everyone has the opportunity of how they want to design their life and I am confident that I am designing my life and every aspect in between in the best way that I possibly could.
