These past two weeks, we were asked to start preparing for a feature story. In writing for mass media, we were asked to write a feature story and it was one of my favorite assignments so I was looking forward to it.
First, I decided that I was going to do my story over part-time jobs college students can have. I started asking around and was actually really surprised on the novelty of some- for example, the Sugar Baby- as mentioned in my feature story. I interviewed the people and were shocked to see the spectrum of different jobs. I found it interesting to hear their unique jobs- some of which I will never have the “privilege” to experience.
I think my reaction was the way it was because I feel like I live under a rock sometimes and don’t know what people are up to. I was excited for a feature story because on my first feature story, I was able to investigate “Life after SAE,” which was cool because their lives have been forever influenced by a tasteless chant. Anyway, I loved learning more about part-time jobs.
