The organization I have decided to research on is Dance Partners through the University of Oklahoma’s School of Dance. Dance Partners is a non profit organization that puts on an event every year to raise money for the school of dance. Their mission is to support the dancers by raising money for productions and scholarships for the dancers. These scholarships include money towards the dancers’ education and shoes. Many of the patrons in dance partners have their own scholarship funds set up as well.
The main competitors for Dance Partners would probably be other programs in the school of fine arts. This can include music, theater, and opera. The two main competitors would most likely be opera and museum patrons. Although all of the fine arts support each other, these programs are probably competing for patrons since the arts are always in need of contributions.
Dance Partner’s dominant attitudes and core values are for the support and well being of the dancers getting prepared for the professional world. They want the dancers to receive all of the best resources and make sure they are all set. They do this by putting on the event every year to raise support, scholarships, and funds to improve the program.
