Game 1: Shoot the serif – I felt like this game didn’t really give you much information at the beginning so I was left with a gun and no inclination of what to do with it. However, eventually I was able to figure out the gist of the game and began to recognize the serif v sans-serif. I thought that it was key to have the different fonts side by side in order to see the slight differences.
Game 2: Type Connection – This game once again confused me on what was meant to be done. There wasn’t really a clear path in my opinion. However, once I finally clicked through enough fonts to get to the end game I understood they were just showing us fonts that would be paired together. I feel like this will be a good tool in the future when trying to make things aesthetically pleasing.
Game 3: Poster Letters – Unfortunately this game would not load on the link given.
Game 4: Type War – I actually liked this one in that you were able to see the small differences of the letters as you played. I liked how it used the same few fonts and gradually built off them and added a few more per level. (Unfortunately I did not make it to 10 as I just had to move on.)
Game 5: Kern Type – This was again a game that left me staring at the screen trying to understand what to do. Once I figured out how to move the letters I caught on pretty quick. I did like this one because I am pretty good at special reasoning so my matches were consistently pretty spot on!
