I have a new respect for fonts. And Typographers. (that’s a profession right?)
I chose to play shoot the serif, type war, and kern type. Shoot the serif was definitely my favorite, and not just because of the clever name. At first I thought it would be really easy, but once I started playing I realized how difficult it was to decipher on certain letters like “C.”
The next game I chose was type war. This one was just plain hard. Even when I used Microsoft Word to cheat it was hard. It’s amazing how many subtle differences there are between different fonts.
Lastly, I played kern type. The first try I got a 60/100. The next four tries after that I got a 100/100. (I included a few screenshots for proof.) I liked that game because it gives you an idea of how spacing makes such a big impact on how a font looks.
