Hello, dearest kittens! I have big news for you all: I am now a movie star!
This week in PR Publications, we finally recorded the long-awaited interviews. I was paired up with Jensen, a spunky, sassy, blue-and-pink-haired girl in my class who sat on the opposite side of the room of me and with whom I had probably only exchanged 10 words or so prior to this project. Jensen and I had a lot of fun with our interviews and even more fun wandering around Gaylord shooting B-roll. Lots of our B-roll footage were shots of us dramatically walking up stairs or of flowers swaying in the wind. There was also one shot of me climbing a tree and then falling down because I saw an ant in it. I sincerely hope that does not make it to the final video.
So far, this is my favorite assignment yet because of the freedom allowed. Yes, we didn’t get to choose our partners, but besides that, it was up to us what we wanted to do with our videos. We could make up our own questions, shoot our own B-roll, and escape the sometimes suffocating feel of the tiny classroom. Plus, I made a new friend (that is my favorite part of this favorite assignment).
I’m looking forward to creating the final video and seeing how it all turns out. I also am praying that the shot of me falling out of the tree doesn’t make the cut.
