In the first meeting of my Public Relations Publications class we have been tasked with keeping up with a weekly blog (something that I've been putting off for a while now). I'll have this series of blog posts arriving on Fridays, and will serve as a look into what I'm learning in the class and how it applies outside of the classroom. I'll be looking to be a bit more introspective in this series, so I think a good place to start would be to pick out my favorite study space.
Most often I'll probably be found in theOklahoma Memorial Unionfood court. It's old, musty booths have cradled me during many late nights into the early
mornings as I work on the worn wood table tops with my notebooks scattered like my thoughts. While it isn't my preferred place to study, it holds many purposes that reassure me that there is always someplace on campus for me to go whatever my need may be.

Most obviously, it's a great social space for spontaneous lunch/coffee meet-ups while on campus. I'll probably have lunch with someone at least once a week either wanting to get myChick-fil-afix or grabbing a great grilled cheese and fries from Union Market. Crossroads, a 24-hour option, is always great for an early morning breakfast or late night snack, especially for freshmen or those with a meal plan.
In addition, the large booths are big enough to feel somewhat private while also keeping the open, social
aspect they are most known for. It's a nice location if you're wanting to study during the lunch rush, you don't mind a little noise and can ignore people looking in to see if they can steal it from you.
Though I'd much rather be sipping on a Chai Tea Latte atMichelangelo'swhile studying, the Union food court is my typical study spot for any of my on campus studying/dining/socializing needs.
