As this week ends we are now finished with our fourth project. It was fun to get back into InDesign after having stepped away for the previous projects. For this project I decided to choose Ford for my company simply because of their size. With them being one of the top fortune 500 companies and continually hearing news about them, I thought they would be a good company to look into further. Along with this project we were asked to do the usual tasks of writing a blog post, commenting on a blog post and reading designing for emotion, which continually turns out to be more interesting than I think it’s going to be.
After working on my rough draft I was feeling optimistic about how my final newsletter would turn out. Everything was great until I realized I managed to forget to actually turn in the dummy layout. Oops. That’s in the past now so all I can focus on is how the final product turned out. I am happy with what I created but It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I liked my layout but some of the stories I was looking at were too long or too short for the space I had reserved. Again, I am happy with how it turned out and feel like continually working on projects, whether they be in InDesign or another program, has helped with every aspect. I am not every completely happy with the final product but I am confident in what I turned in and look to further improve based on the feedback.
