For the second stakeholder I have decided to target parents that graduated from The University of Oklahoma and have children that have recently been accepted to The University of Oklahoma. It was mentioned that this second stakeholder have some sort of influence over the first stakeholder, so what better person to target than the parent of an undecided student.
The Who:
- Parents who attended OU and have a child that has been accepted to the university.
- Male and Female ages 40-60
- The child has not already decided which university to attend
The How:
- Talk about recent achievements and awards given to the university
- Point out specifics that each college has to offer (preferably one the student is interested in)
- Emphasize that an education from OU is hard to beat
I believe this target is important because as much as children like to ignore their parents, they do listen and take advice in situations like these. While I believe that an alum of OU would already be advocating for their child to attend OU, a reminder from the school couldn’t hurt anything. A friendly mailer to the parent could be all they need to further emphasize how great the school is. Especially if the mailer points out a great achievement or fact about the school that would benefit the future student.
