This week we were asked to think of a stakeholder or two for the OU Recruitment services and to make a blog post about. We were also asked to think about possible messages we could aim towards that audience and the call to action that the direct mailers will have. We were also asked to create a direct mailer on photo shop, which I wasn’t expecting mine to be good at all and it turned out that I was right. Hopefully by the time I get to the final draft my direct mailer will be where I want it to be. We were also asked to make a segmenting stakeholders matrix, which I responded to with a “you’re kidding me” once I saw the example. The example provided seemed intimidating and tedious, but after completing it I realized that it wasn’t so bad and actually very helpful understanding more about the stakeholder. I think I reacted this way I think just because it looked like a lot of work to me.
In addition to the assignments on stakeholders, we were asked to read the first chapter and participate in the discussion posts. I like assignments like this one so I didn’t think it would be hard or anything. Overall this week was a good one!
