For this assignment, we were asked to make social media posts for a company via canva. I have to say, I like this platform so much better than Photoshop and InDesign! It is so much easier to use and you can look like a pro with little experience. However, this could hinder creativity (although, I’m not very creative so this works in my favor). Another problem you can run into is having similar designs to other people since there are pre-made layouts, etc.
Overall, I was pretty happy with my designs. I wish there were more options rather than the same girly, artsy designs they have on canva. It was hard finding things that fit my message for my company. That being said, I think if I had the right tools they could have been a lot better. This is something you don’y run into with the other platforms we have used, but at least I can actually use this one.
