This week has been a doozy. I don’t even know where to start. We were asked to watch hours of videos on working with Photoshop and InDesign. Thank goodness I was able to multitask by riding a stationary bike while watching and completing activities that went with them. I honestly have no idea how else I could have gotten everything done this week. I also spend sometime working on stuff while getting treatment for rowing.

We had to play typography games and write about them, look a little deeper into design, watch those videos on Photoshop and InDesign, label the different parts of a newspaper, and complete a typesetting activity. That’s a mouthful right there. I was able to complete it all though. Honestly, the first parts where easy for me. I analyzing design and the games were fun, but when it came down to the typesetting assignment, things starting getting rough for me. I get easily frustrated when things don’t come naturally for me, so not knowing how to do the typesetting at first was difficult. I couldn’t get to fonts to download correctly, and I was just overwhelmed. But after taking a step back and re-evaluating my situation, I was able to figure it out and complete the task at hand. I hope I am able to look back at this experience later in the semester and remember that I am able to figure things out and get the job done, even if it is a little slower than I would like.
