This week I was asked to peer review/comment on my classmate’s work on their business card drafts and make a draft of my organization’s letterhead, which is to be used for future memos and letters. At first, I was hesitant to reply to my peers because I often get intimidated when I see that my work doesn’t compare to others in terms of creativity. I do like doing peer reviews in general because I get the chance to improve what others are doing and even use the suggestions I give to adjust my own work. I was excited to work on the letterhead because I think this is a way to simply express company creativity and individuality in something as mundane as a memo.

This is the draft of what I actually did and I enjoy what I did with the image and the text that overlays it. The actual body of the letter is really plain but I couldn’t think of ways to stray from a traditional letter without losing the company’s professionalism. Overall, I knew that I was capable of this work and I hope that my draft will only be the jumping off point for what my final project will look like. I think my feedback on my classmate’s posts was straightforward and to the point of the assignment while making good points that will help them improve. My reaction to my work on these assignments was like this because I know what I am capable of and I know not to think too critically during this time of submitting first drafts, but I have kept in mind points for improvement towards the final result.
