  • Visual language in infographics will emphasize words like bold, edgy, and trendy while maintaining New York attitude. The message of empowerment and confidence will be more clearly conveyed in ads through people doing adventurous things (ex-skydiving). The public should see a re-vamped Maybelline where they still have the same confidence without the intimidation of being too cutting edge. Again, fun visual language to appeal to their contemporary audience.
  • Visuals will be text-driven, using different fonts and colors like Maybelline does on some of their current in-store advertisements.
  • These new images need to mean a new and contemporary Maybelline. Their visuals need to match up with their products because while they are putting out good products that are exciting and current. People can get stuck in the fact that it is a drugstore product and not even realize it performs like a high-end product. They have to mean that while the brand has been around for years and years, they have evolved into a modern competitor.
  • The type and images need have connotations of CONFIDENCE. People should look at their products and immediately grab them knowing they can do anything they want with the look they want. The focus should be on making the consumer comfortable with themselves before, during, and after using Maybelline products.
