Below is a full transcription of the thought process I went through with myself in order to determine my personal criteria for a successful business card:
“Logo, use a logo, whether it be personal or of the kind of dream company you want to work for. Put it in their in a very subtle but effective way…and make sure that the logo matches the all around color scheme.
Fonts, you need memorable, but crisp and clean fonts. But definitely don’t give someone a false sense of your personality…that’d be awk when they called looking for a literal fashion blogger or something and you picked up the call.
Don’t put your social media on there. They have your name and if they really want to know then they’ll just google you most likely.
Make sure your business card stays true to who you are, but only to the best aspects of you…always put your best foot forward.
This thing will most likely be text-driven because your design skills aren’t quite there yet, get ready to write the elevator speech of your life and find the exact right fonts to portray it.
If everything goes as planned maybe someone will actually hire you some day!! Or maybe not, who really knows.”
