1. What were you asked to do?
In this unit we were asked to create a dummy layout for a fortune 500 company of our choosing.
2. How did you respond to what you were asked to do?
I was excited to choose a company outside of something that I normally do because I usually choose non-profit organizations. This unit was exciting in the fact that, by going off of the Fortune 500 list, I picked something outside of what I normally would.
3. How did react to what you actually did?
I enjoyed creating a newsletter for Southwest and getting to research their branding and images. At first, it was a little bit difficult for me to get back in the swing of InDesign after using Canva and Photoshop, but the more that I played with it, I remembered how to use it and enjoyed doing so.
4. Now go one level deeper: Why do you think your reaction was what it was?
I think I liked researching Southwest and gathering things for this project because, in my opinion, Southwest has a really fun and colorful brand. I also love traveling and seeing new places, so I enjoyed creating a newsletter design for a travel company.
