The design medium I am using for the final project is Canva because of my confidence in using it. My favorite assignment was the social media posts we designed using Canva, so I am confident I can become really engaged and focused on this assignment through this instead of another design medium. I also think I will be able to clearly communicate the points I want to get across about what I learned. The tools I will need start with my previous assignments, to review which ones I want to talk about and include in my summary of learning. The feedback I gained from submitting drafts of my assignments will also serve as an important tool because it will help my audience understand how I learned to importance of certain design elements. Next, I will need the notes/videos that taught us how to use certain design applications. Through these tools, I want to communicate how I learned to use applications to create important design elements (such as making sure the graphic is bold, eye-catching, etc.). I want to use these tools to then analyze why design is important to public relations because it is something that I had not previously thought of, and now realize through taking this class. Overall, I believe I can produce a great graphic that portrays how/what I learned and why design is important for public relations practitioners to understand.
