1. What were you asked to do?
In this unit we were asked to go through “bootcamp” watching videos that would help us understand Photoshop and InDesign. We also looked for different aspects in a Newspaper and then worked to recreate something on InDesign.
2. How did you respond to what you were asked to do?
At first, I was a little bit intimidated because I’ve never worked with anything like Photoshop and InDesign. So, I spoke with people that had and gathered as much help as I could before diving into these assignments.
3. How did react to what you actually did?
Once I started working through the assignments and learning some basic tools of the program, I really enjoyed working on it.
4. Now go one level deeper: Why do you think your reaction was what it was?
I am a huge perfectionist so I really liked working to recreate something because I could see my progress and benchmark it with the one that was already created. I’m also a visual learner, so I think that’s why the videos and gaining insight from people who have used the program helped me become more confident with my own work.
