This week I was asked to delve into the Adobe program InDesign. I was able to do this through videos as well as interactive assignments that involved learning the layout style of a newspaper and then implementing what I learned by filling in the template of a newsletter. Bootcamp Reflection
The toughest part of this unit was working through the multiple Lynda videos. A few times I realized I had stopped paying attention and had to rewind the video a few times.
All in all, I managed to keep my cool throughout this unit’s assignments, I even managed to help a fellow classmate out in the process. I’ll enjoy the calm because I know there’s a storm coming. I’m sure I’ll be feeling in over my head in a few short weeks (days). Let’s do it!

For this assignment I looked into multiple ways, color, typography, balance, contrast and other kind of concepts were used. Color/Contrast/Proportion: When I tried to think of the most colorful places […]
The Week Is Done!
This week I was asked to play some typography games, find pictures that were examples of some of the concepts we learned this week, do a newspaper markup and do my first graphic design typesetting assignment. I actually had fun with every assignment, although I was most nervous abut typesetting. I have this irrational fear …
Design Blitz: PRO-TIP
The design blitz assignment was very helpful because it really made me think about how important it is for design elements to be effective to convey the intended message. The five elements I provided examples for are: color, typography, metaphors/symbols, balance and the F3, form/function and message. Color: I thought the background on this flier …
