Reflection

My first takeaway from my PR Writing class was all the information I learned from our course’s required textbook. Usually at the end of the semester I am headed to the bookstore to try and get some kind of refund but this book is going to stick around me for awhile! If I ever forget what to include in a social media plan, email pitch, or news release, I now know where to find my answers.

The second takeaway would have to be blogging process. This semester was my first time to blog so it was something I had to get use to. I am glad I learned how to navigate WordPress and OU Create.

The last takeaway from PR Writing is that I was really fortunate to have a professor who cared about the success of her students!

This course helped me understand some of the things I will be asked to do as a PR profession. From writing news releases to social media plans. The assignments we completed were so important because it taught me the different formats and writing styles that are expected. I know everything I learned in this class can be applied to my future and that makes me happy!
